Job Description:

Brownwall Food Products seeks a diligent and technically adept Data Systems Assistant to work directly with our Head of Systems and Data Strategy. This role is integral to supporting the strategic development of data systems and automation processes, assisting in streamlining our production, inventory, and CRM workflows under the guidance of our lead data scientist and analyst.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis and Visualization Support

Collaborate with the Head of Systems and Data Strategy to develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations in Power BI, Looker Studio, and Google Sheets.

Assist in data preparation and preliminary analyses to ensure smooth reporting for decision-making on inventory, production planning, and sales metrics.

Perform quality checks on data and help identify trends or anomalies for further analysis.

2. System Support and Automation Assistance

Aid in developing and maintaining automation scripts (e.g., Google Apps Script) to optimize data workflows and reduce manual effort across teams.

Assist with troubleshooting and resolving minor technical issues in data systems and automated processes.

Continuously monitor system performance, flagging any inconsistencies and proposing improvements where possible.

3. Inventory and Production Data Coordination

Support the coordination of data updates with inventory and production teams to ensure accurate, real-time tracking.

Collaborate in maintaining KPIs and alerting the Head of Systems to discrepancies or trends that may require strategic adjustments.

4. Client Data and CRM Management

Organize and update client and CRM data, ensuring consistency and accessibility for the sales and customer service teams.

Support in tracking and reporting sales pipelines, client follow-ups, and other CRM activities essential for managing client relationships.

5. Documentation and Process Optimization

Document system workflows, automation scripts, and process guidelines to create a centralized knowledge base.

Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for roles across the organization, with a focus on data management, security, and system efficiency.

6. Research and Development Support

Conduct research on emerging tools, data methodologies, and system architecture improvements under the direction of the Head of Systems.

Provide initial assessments and recommendations on tools or approaches that could further enhance Brownwall’s operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with Google Sheets, Power BI, Looker Studio, and a willingness to learn Google Apps Script.

Basic understanding of SQL databases, data visualization, and CRM systems.
