Job Description:
POD Lead
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities (e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.)
- Lead the delivery of BI and Analytics solutions to accomplish measurable outcomes for client’s Global businesses and functions.
- Manage a multi-disciplinary team formed of business analysts, data analysts, data scientists, visualisation specialists to deliver use cases via Agile.
- Report progress to senior stakeholders and business sponsors by operating and participating in key steering and governance committees.
- When delivering BI and Analytics solutions, enforce tooling and reporting standards within the team.
- Partner with the central data asset, architecture, data sourcing, technology and Vendor data teams to drive the strategic buildout of high quality reusable data assets, analytics and BI
- Influence strategy and shape the programme approach across a series of projects or component activities, building stakeholder buy-in around plans, commitments and changes.
- Drive programme delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks
- Lead definition of staffing, responsibilities and schedules
- Establish effective programme controls and procedures.
- Set high expectations concerning quality and put in place quality assurance processes.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers.
- Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to steering committees and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation
- Provide visible leadership to maintain a focus on how the programme aligns to the change portfolio.
- Drive the adoption of client’s standards and work in alignment with client’s methodology at all times.
- Lead the team to meet performance targets aligned to programme objectives.
Leadership & Teamwork
- Build and leverage deep relationships with key Business customers to understand, generate, prioritise and meet demand for BI and Analytics opportunities.
Functional Knowledge
- Consistent Use Case delivery track record using Agile.
- Deep knowledge of data and analytics delivery life cycle.
- Experience in managing teams with diverse skillsets and disciplines to deliver exceptional customer service and value.
- Functional knowledge of financial services/ESG preferable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Experience in forming advisory relationship with senior managers.
- Experience of working with on premise and/or cloud data refineries preferable.
- Experience with one or more visualization technologies, Qlik or Tableau preferable
- Experience in data privacy, model risk management preferable.
- Experience in delivering in a highly regulated environment preferable.
