Toprovidequalityandtimelylegalsupport totherespectiveunits.Ensuringregularupdationand strengtheningtheEYTool.Toassist indraftingandnegotiatingvariousdocuments.Toresearch, interpretandanalyzelaws&legalsituationsandassist instrategizingandadvisingthebusiness. Toassist inhandlingdiversedisputesandlitigations.Ensuringallcriticalstatutoryandregulatory approvalsrequiredforbusinessoperationsandcontinuityare inplacewithrespect toGPCoal Mines,MeenakshiCoalMine,MaliparbatBauxiteMineandcasespendingatvariouscourtse.g. CoalBearingTribunal,PartTimeTribunal,LaborCourt,CivilCourtaswellasHighCourts.

Operating inahighlyregulatedbusinesswhichmandatesheightenedfocuson statutorycompliancewithzerotolerance. In-houselawyershavetobeequippedtoprovideboth proactiveandreactivesupport toensurebusinesscontinuitywhilsthedgingagainst financial/non financial risks. Uncertainty and dynamic nature of the regulatory framework and judicial developmentswarrantsastute legal advicetosupportbusinessandtorenderingsupportat the conception (pre-operational) stage to the newmines. To look after the leagl affairs of GP, Meenakshi,MaliparbatandLegalMatterspendinginthevariouscourtsasTribunal,LaborCourt, HighCourtsetc. JobChallenges:Themajorchallengefor thejobiseffectiveimprovisationin order toachieve thebusinessobjectivesamidst the rigidityandrigour of the legal framework. Uncertain legal environmentandpotential riskfromnewenactments/judgments.Bringingspeed andtransparency intheexistingbusinessprocesses,mitigatingriskandensuringrightsolutions areproactively implementedso that liabilitiesarenot recurring.Buildingcapabilityof self, the teammembersandgroomingthemtobeleadersof thefuture.ce,highintegrityandsoundrisk management.

 

JobChallenges :

MIS-Preparingseveral important reportspertaining to legal complianceissuesandlitigationsaremadeandcirculated.TheseMISincludesmonthlyreports, reportofcriticalpendingissues,Roznama submittedtoSteeringcommitteeformedbyManaging Director,quarterlyreportsof importantpendinglitigations, reportunderclause .of thelisting agreementetcafterobtainingtherelevantdatafromtheconcerndepartment. 4)KeyResultAreas/Accountabilities: KeyResultAreas/Accountabilities SupportingActions 1.CommercialDocumentation Assist in drafting and reviewing various kinds of agreements and other legal documents to ensure that legal risksareminimizedor eliminatedandalsoensure compliance of Company s internal risk parameters/policies as well as applicable laws or regulations.Standardizingofagreements.Detailedreview of legal documents to identify potential risks to the business. Raiseredflagsandmakerecommendationsto thebusiness to resolve issues. Participate inmeetings withcounterparts/businessteamtodiscussandnegotiate thetermsofcontracts.Assist induediligence, identifying andaddressingkeyissues. 2. Handlingdisputes,arbitrationand litigation Litigation management through Provakil-ensure all litigationpertaining to the respectivemines is there in Provakil&ensureupdateofProvakil onreal timebasis. Identifythecaseswhichcanbeclosed/frivolousorsmall valuecaseswhichcanbeclosed;Engagewiththeteam for closure of frivolous or small value cases. Identify Advocates andbrief themwithall the facts and try to provide In House closure of litigation related issues whereverpossible.KeyLitigationupdateasandwhen it progresses. Todraftall litigationrelateddocumentssuch asnotices / reply thereto,Suits,WritPetitions,Criminal Complaints, Written Statement / Reply etc. Attending
